Men Don't Vogue...Do They?
My office is really close to our call center department, so I hear the responses to a lot of the questions that our customers have on a daily basis. One of the new magazines we recently added to our catalog is Men’s Vogue, and I overhear that many people want a better description of the magazine. So here is my take on it.
Men’s Vogue
is a newer title from Conde Nast (also the publisher of GQ and Details). Sounds like another GQ right? Yes, it is another men’s fashion magazine, but…the intended audience is different. While GQ is hip, trendy, and for guys 18 to 35; Men’s Vogue is for a more seasoned crowd, with trends dedicated toward business fashion. From what I have seen so far, the articles taste more like those in
Vanity Fair, and don’t seem to be polluted with sexual innuendo or crass language.
Each issue will contain features on the following subjects:
- Architecture + Design
- Arts + Culture
- Business + Politics
- Food + Drink
- Health + Sports
- Clothing + Collecting
All of these articles make cameos on the mensvogue.com website, so if you want to review my review, head on over there to get a sample.
One article that hit home with me in this issue is called “master minds.” It talks about how a daily regimen of crossword puzzles can improve your mental acuity. It’s probably good idea to get some left brain exercises.
You can test your memory at mensvogue.com here. If you want crossword puzzles, we actually carry a ton of them. Check out our list of puzzle and word game subscriptions

Update from last newsletter:
Ah, how frustrating…I knew I should have let that Monster Pig story simmer another week. As it turns out, CNN ran a story that the Monster pig was actually a pet that had escaped from a local farmer. You would have thought that someone would have put up a “Lost GIANT Pig” sign or something. Oh well, I’ve never seen a domesticated pig that large before, so it looked like weird news to me! Here's
their take on the situation.
Happy Father’s Day!
Sincerely,
