ERRSS Waffle Recipe These waffles taste incredible and your kids will love them! Unfortunately lowfat...they are not.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups of buttermilk
2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Instructions:
Preheat your waffle iron…
Mix all dry ingredients together in one large glass bowl, be sure to sift flour. Then in another bowl whisk together all wet ingredients. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix together well. Once the consistency looks like pasty soup, let sit for at least five minutes to allow air to permeate the batter (this will make them lighter).
Spray waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray and then pour ¾ to 1 cup of batter onto the griddle. Close lid and cook for 3-5 minutes depending on the make and model of your iron - more than likely your first batch will be experimental. Once cooked to your liking, serve warm with regular syrup and butter.
Your house should now smell wonderful.
