This is the first time I’ve seen a major Spanish magazine stop its print production, guess it’s a sign of the times. If you have a subscription through EBSCO to Selecciones Del Reader’s Digest and would like a refund on all your remaining unmailed issues contact us here.
It’s frustrating to see some of the newer magazines fall before they had a decent chance to shine. This one is more than likely a victim of circumstance. If you have a subscription through EBSCO to Conde Nast Portfolio and would like a refund on all your remaining unmailed issues contact us here.

If you want to replace it we have a few titles that are similar:

Little disappointed to see this one go, it was written very well. If you have a subscription through EBSCO to Best Life and would like a refund on all your remaining unmailed issues contact us here.

I got an email this morning (April 2) telling me to pass along this notification:
If you want to access your outstanding invoices list under Make A Payment on Your Account, please hold off until April 3rd 2009 to do so. We are in the process of moving our billing data to a new accounts receivable system so our Main Frame is currently showing all invoices as PAID online even though this may not necessarily be the case on your account.
All the data should be refreshed by April 3rd once the internal transfers are completed. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
We will update this post if any of this information changes. We appreciate your patience!
In our last newsletter issue #76, we listed some of the new website upgrades which included some major additions to our Renewal Screen. We had a few customers request some clarity on the Renew Later and Cancel check boxes for each line item.
The Renew Later check box is basically like a snooze button on an alarm clock, you get reminded again 3 months from the expire date. If you do it again at the 3 month mark it will remind you again in 30 days.
The Cancel check box means that you would NOT like to renew the subscription once it expires. It does not cancel the subscription immediately. If you would like to cancel the subscription immediately, leave the magazines you want to cancel immediately on the list. Then go to the Cancel A Subscription page to have them removed.
We don’t carry these magazines on our website currently, but many times our customers will order them from our offline catalog or directly from the publisher. We wanted to make sure you knew that the following magazines will no longer being published.
Cooking For 2
Backyard Living
Computer Shopper
Consider this a public service announcement from EBSCO!
If you have an account with us and just happen to subscribe to one or more of these titles on your EBSCO account. Please contact us here to have your refund prepared for all unmailed issues in your subscription.
It seems that the current economic environment is not very good for the magazine industry. As of January 2009, Domino Magazine will no longer be in print. If you have a subscription through EBSCO to Domino and would like a refund on all your remaining unmailed issues contact us here.
Domino Magazine Subscription Refund
There are still some very good home decor magazines that you can use to replace Domino Magazine. Check out the following…
Please be aware that the publishers of US News and World Report have made changes to their subscription frequency. US News and World Report has gone from weekly, to bi-weekly, and as of December 15th 2008, it is now a monthly subscription. The next issue you will recieve (if you have a current subscription) will show as February 2009.
If you have further questions about this change or any other related concerns related to your account, please contact EBSCO Recpetion Room Subscription Services Here.

It looks like the economy is hitting the magazine industry pretty hard. Although in the case of Cosmo Girl, the Internet may have more to do with its demise. It’s becoming more and more difficult to serve a print magazine to a ever expanding wired audience. Why buy the print magazine when you can easily get the same information on your new 3G iPhone?
October will be the last issue of CosmoGirl magazine - if you currently have a subscription with EBSCO and would like a refund on the remaining issues, please contact us here.
Looking for a replacement? Try one of these:
Conde Nast has discontinued Golf for Women magazine. The news on the grapevine is that the editor for Golf for Women was hired over at Hearst to head up O : The Oprah Magazine.
No worries though…we still carry several other golf titles if you need a replacement.
Check out our Golf Magazines Category here…
Then again, if you need a refund for your remaining issues, give us a head’s up (Fore!) here. Yeah, yeah, I know that was a stupid pun…sorry, I couldn’t resist.

I made two mistakes on Newsletter #64 last week.
Consumer Reports Money Adviser was written as having a price of $39.95. That was incorrect; our website lists it as $29.00 which is the correct price.
It seems my luck was doubly bad, when I also misspelled Adviser as Advisor. I apologize…not sure why I missed these problems when reviewing before release.
If you don’t currently get Oprah magazine, we have an exclusive offer on new subscriptions. We now have 12 issues of Oprah for $18.00. Our website shows Oprah Magazine at it’s regular price, so when you go to make your purchase please enter the following promotional code at checkout to get the discount.
